The four Char Dhams—Badrinath Dham Temple, Kedarnath Dham Temple, Gangotri Dham Temple, and Yamunotri Dham Temple—are nestled in the Himalayas and are enveloped in a serene atmosphere. Here, your spiritual voyage will find its anchor in these mystical lands. The purpose of the Char Dham Yatra is to alleviate the burdens of life’s karmic past.     Day 1

    New Delhi to Haridwar (215km, 7hrs)

    Upon your arrival in Delhi, a Sahapathika representative will meet you and assist with transportation to Haridwar according to your schedule. Once you arrive in Haridwar, check into your hotel. If time allows, you can visit Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga Aarti on your own. Har Ki Pauri is a key highlight of Haridwar, offering various local transportation options. You’ll have the freedom to explore Haridwar and the banks of the Ganges at your leisure. Overnight accommodation will be in Haridwar.

    Day 3

    Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (approx 42 km DRIVE / 06 km TREK)

    After breakfast, you’ll depart for Hanumanchatti (40 km) and then continue to Janki Chatti (8 km), where you’ll start your first hill yatra to Yamunotri, embarking on a 6 km trek. You have the option to hire a palki or a horse for the trek (cost not included).

    The trek takes you through lush green valleys filled with conifers, rhododendrons, cacti, and various species of Himalayan shrubs. Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River, the twin sister of Varna, the Lord of Death, and is also known as the daughter of Surya, the Sun God. The river originates from the Champasar Glacier, located 1 km ahead of the shrine at an altitude of 4,321 meters.

    Upon your afternoon arrival in Yamunotri, take a holy dip in the Yamuna River and perform your puja. Afterward, return along the same route to Barkot. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel in Barkot.

    Day 5

    Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (approx 100 km. PER WAY)

    Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the hotel before driving to Gangotri. Upon arrival, take a holy dip in the sacred Ganges River, known as Bhagirathi at its source. Visit the Gangotri Temple, an 18th-century structure dedicated to Goddess Ganga, located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi is said to have worshipped Lord Shiva. This beautiful temple stands 20 feet tall and is made of white granite, believed to be the spot where Ganga first touched the earth. After performing the Pooja, drive back to Uttarkashi in the late afternoon. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

    Day 7

    Guptkashi/Phata – Kedarnath- Guptkashi

    After breakfast, head to the helipad for your flight to Kedarnath (please note that the helicopter cost is not included). Upon arrival, visit the Kedarnath Temple for darshan and perform your pooja. After your visit, fly back to Guptkashi. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at your hotel.

    Day 9

    Badrinath – Rudraprayag 

    This morning, if you didn’t visit Badrinath Temple the previous day, you can do so for Darshan. Afterward, return to the hotel for breakfast. After checking out, head to Mana Village, known as the last village of India. While there, you can explore attractions such as Bhim Pool, Vyas Gufa, and Vasudhara Falls. Later, continue your journey to Rudraprayag, where you can see Karanprayag and Devprayag along the way. Upon arriving in Rudraprayag, check in to your hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Enjoy dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.

    Day 11

    Haridwar – New Delhi

    Early in the morning, after breakfast, check out of the hotel and head towards New Delhi. You will be dropped off at the airport in time for your return flight home. Your memorable Yatra concludes with countless cherished memories from Sahapathika.

    Day 2

    Haridwar – Barkot (approx 215km / 07 hrs. drive)

    This morning, you will depart for Barkot, a picturesque hill station situated at the foot of Yamunotri. En route, you’ll pass through Mussoorie and have the opportunity to visit the famous Kempty Falls. Upon arrival in Barkot, check in to your hotel or camp. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and recharge in preparation for the hill yatra to Yamunotri the following day. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Barkot.

    Day 4

    Barkot – Uttarkashi (approx DRIVE 82 km, / 04 hrs. DRIVE)

    After breakfast, check out from the hotel in Barkot and drive to Uttarkashi. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. Uttarkashi, located on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, is known for its historical monuments, temples, and ashrams. In the evening, visit the renowned Vishwanath Temple. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Uttarkashi.

    Day 6

    Uttarkashi – Guptkashi / Phata (approx 223 kms / 09 hrs DRIVE)

    After an early morning breakfast, set off for your next destination, Guptkashi. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Guptkashi is situated 47 km from the sacred Kedarnath shrine and is renowned for its religious significance, featuring ancient temples such as the Vishwanath Temple and Ardhnareshwar Temple. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at your hotel or camp.

    Day 8

    Guptkashi/ Phata –Badrinath (185 kms / 7 hrs )

    After breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. In the evening, visit Badrinath Temple to participate in the Aarti. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at the hotel.

    Day 10

    Rudraprayag  – Haridwar 

    In the early morning, after enjoying breakfast, you’ll drive downhill to Haridwar, passing through Rishikesh, known as the spiritual city and the Yoga capital of the world. Along the way, you can stop to visit the Mata Dhari Devi Temple. Once you arrive in Rishikesh, take some time for sightseeing, including visits to Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat before heading to Haridwar for drop-off.
